CURRENT DISPLAY:

they’re all listening, so what do you have to say?

heavy body acrylic paint on stretched 30×40 canvas.

approaching this project, I wanted to experiment with texture work - i didn’t use a paintbrush in this work but instead used tools such as a palette knife, plastic wrap, the outside of a brick, bubble wrap, painter/ gaff tape, and a dish brush to achieve this look. the creatures showed up in my dreams and inspired how i thought about this piece. my largest scale painting to date!

stomping grounds

heavy body acrylic paint on stretched 20×20 canvas.

the inspiration from this piece was taken from staring at the floor of a painting studio and loving how organic the relationship between colour and shape was. i sought out a portion of the floor from the studio to recreate in a painting. absolutely loved this process, had so much fun with the work.

20×24 graphite on stonehenge paper.

i drew this back in 2021 when i first began to find my artistic style, so it’s a pretty special piece for me now. looking back at how much i have grown as a person since the making of this drawing, it makes me feel deeply for the era of my life i was in when i created this. my best friend danielle was the model for this drawing, and i like looking at her face when i revisit it.

selected to show at the Promising Artists Gallery in Oakville ON in 2022
